STAFF REVIEW

What an ambitious book! Divided up into eight parts, each mostly focused on photographer Tunde and the relationships he fosters with those around him (as well as his home country of Nigeria), 'Tremor' attempts to pick apart the relationship between photographer, subject and history.

It is almost refreshing to read a book so focused on thinking through the big questions, unafraid of making bold statements. With clear prose and clarity of thought, Cole makes a real attempt to get at the core of human experience. It is to his credit that he manages to succeed.
