Arthur Cotterell has lectured and written widely on the mythologies and ancient civilizations of the world and is respected as a world-renowned authority on the subject. He is Principal of Kingston College in London, and author of the best-selling Dictionary of World Mythology, as well as a number of books on the civilizations of East Asia. Brian Leigh Molyneaux (PhD 1991 University of Southampton) specializes in the human use of the landscape, art and ideology. His research includes many years in northern Canada, recording and studying Algonkian rock art, and a major study of Mato Tipila (Devils Tower National Monument) in Wyoming, USA. Dr. Molyneaux is author of The Sacred Earth, co-author of Native North America, and editor of The Cultural Life of Images. He has exhibited work at the National Gallery of Canada and the Gropius-Bau in Berlin. David Michael Jones PhD, author of the Mesoamerican and South American sections, studied Anthropology and History at the University of California, Berkeley. He obtained a PhD in the Archaeology of the Americas at the University of London, Institute of Archaeology. Dr Jones is co-author of the Blue Guide to Mexico and has written many articles on Mesoamerican and South American art for the Macmillan Dictionary of Art. Dr Jones worked as consultant on The Illustrated Encyclopedia of the Aztecs and Maya and The Aztec & Maya World by Charles Phillips (both published by Lorenz Books). Rachel Storm is a journalist and author specializing in religion, alternative religion and spirituality. Her publications include In Search of Heaven on Earth, an investigation into the roots of various New Age beliefs; The Sacred Sea, an examination of myths and legends linked to the deep; and The Exorcists. She has also edited and written introductions to several books on mythology, and completed a doctorate on spiritual experience.
