Other Goose: Re-nurseried and Re-rhymed Children's Classics

Author(s): J.otto Seibold

Fairy and Traditional Tales

It's Mother Goose with a twist--all of the poems and characters like you've never seen them before! Renowned artist J.otto Seibold brings a new, edgy art style to the Mother Goose rhymes with his signature computer art style on painted backgrounds. As J.otto was the first artist to do picture books with digital art, it is great to see him innovating again. * There are many Mother Goose collections in the marketplace but no collections from a major publisher (that we know of) featuring new versions of the old rhymes. * Fractured fairy tales are a very popular picture book genre. 'Fractured nursery rhymes' should have similar appeal. * J.otto's refreshed, 'renursuried and rerhymed' poems incorporate a contemporary sensibility, perfect for today's modern, media- and pop-culturally-savvy kid. * Fans of J.otto Seibold will relish this unique collection. * Mother Goose is perenially popular, so people will enjoy seeing these familiar characters in new, funny, modern situations. * Parents looking for a new take on traditional Mother Goose will appreciate this visually and thematically reconfigured take on the rhymes and characters. * Large format book, with 80 pages of poems and colorful, detailed art that children and parents will love poring over. * J.otto Seibold is an internationally renowned artist who has illustrated more than 20 books. * Sales of Mother Goose titles are strong. * There are few ironic takes on Mother Goose in the marketplace.
